Citizens Advice Woking is delighted to announce the appointment of Shahid Azeem DL as its new Strategic Ambassador, bringing together extensive experience in business, community leadership, philanthropy and public service. Shahid Azeem is a British Muslim entrepreneur, philanthropist and community leader, recognised for his achievements in business, public service and promoting diversity and inclusion.
Having left school without formal qualifications, Shahid built a successful career through determination, enterprise and a commitment to creating opportunities for others. He has founded and led multi-million-pound IT businesses and continues to support initiatives focused on community empowerment, youth development and cross-community relations. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to business, charity and community life.
Shahid is a Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey and has served twice as High Sheriff of Surrey, appointed under both Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Majesty King Charles III. His distinguished public service reflects a longstanding commitment to supporting communities, strengthening civic engagement and promoting opportunity for all.
As a successful entrepreneur and business leader, Shahid has built and led multi-million-pound businesses in the IT sector. He currently serves as Managing Director of Arcom IT and Folio3 UK/Europe. He is also actively involved in community and charitable initiatives, including the British Pakistan Foundation, the Woking Asian Business Forum and his role as Charity Champion for Jubilee Action.
His contributions to business and society have been recognised through numerous honours, including the Asian Entrepreneur of the Year, Surrey Business Personality of the Year, Pakistani Entrepreneur of the Year, and multiple Inspire Business in the Community Awards. He was also recognised among the Top 100 Most Influential Muslims in the UK and received a Paul Harris Fellowship from Guildford Rotary in 2011, becoming the first recipient in the organisation’s 35-year history.

He has already begun making an impact at Citizens Advice Woking, helping to develop new relationships, open doors and explore opportunities that can support the charity’s future ambitions.
